What This Checklist Calculates
This page does not register Ejari or produce an official government result. It helps you calculate and compare the pieces tenants usually need before renewal: current rent, proposed rent, percentage change, renewal date, notice date, and rental index evidence.
Ejari Renewal Numbers to Save
- Current annual rent and payment schedule.
- Proposed annual rent and new payment schedule.
- Renewal date or contract end date.
- Date the rent increase notice was received.
- Official rental index result and the inputs used.
- Current contract, proposed renewal contract, and written messages.
Quick Calculation
To calculate the proposed increase percentage, subtract current rent from proposed rent, divide by current rent, then multiply by 100. Example: AED 95,000 proposed rent minus AED 85,000 current rent equals AED 10,000. AED 10,000 divided by AED 85,000 is about 11.8%.
That percentage is only a preparation number. Check the official rental index and notice timing before accepting or disputing the renewal.
Official Source Check
Source checked July 28, 2026. Dubai Land Department's rental index service lists inputs such as contract end date, property type, current annual rent, and property identifiers depending on the search path.
Before You Sign
- Check the proposed rent against your current rent.
- Save the landlord or agent's written notice.
- Run the official rental index with the correct property details.
- Compare the proposed renewal contract with the current contract.
- Ask for the calculation basis in writing if the figures do not match.
